Country Crossroads to launch new Americana show

21 January 2017 Programming News Station Updates

Country Crossroads announced the addition of a new Americana-themed show, ‘Americana Express’, which is slated to premiere on Wednesday, February 1st at 11pm and run every weeknight from 11pm-midnight. The show will feature popular Americana, Folk, and Alternative Country artists who rarely receive any airplay on mainstream radio. Artists such as Emmylou Harris, Steve Goodman, Roy Clark, Drive By Truckers, Ry Cooder, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, and Lyle Lovett will be at the forefront of this new show.

“This will certainly be a unique show, which will help diversify our lineup, and will help bring the people of Dacula — and all of the world — a unique listening experience,” Country Crossroads Operations Manager Josh Tanner stated. “Unlike most corporate driven stations today, we don’t settle. We already own one of the largest Country libraries anywhere, but we are excited to continue expanding our horizons to feature more Americana-influenced artists, which I’m confident our listeners will love.”

The addition follows a recent schedule revamp which saw the additions of “Pat’s Country Classics” on weekends and the new “John and Heidi Show”, which will precede “Americana Express” on weeknights  from 7pm-11pm.

You can hear the new “Americana Express” weeknights from 11pm-12am in Dacula and surrouding areas at AM1680 or worldwide at CountryCrossroadsRadio.com or via the free mobile app.
